Cinnamon Jam Donut in a Mug

It’s Already #treatyoselftuesday again! How exciting!

Today’s #treatyoselftuesday treat is an odd one. I must admit I wasn’t quite sure how it would turn out, But I can gladly say it tastes like a Donut! A flully, cinammony? Donut!

The genius behind the “mugnut” is Gemma Of Bigger Bolder Baking, I wonder how she thinks of these.

Anyways, on to the reason why you’re here. The Donut!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons Jam
  • Cinnamon sugar to garnish

First, melt your butter. Then add your flour, baking powder, sugar, milk, egg yolk and cinnamon.

Mix it alll together, till smooth.

Take one tablespoon of jam and drop it in the centre of the donut batter. Gently pushing it down with a spoon so it sinks to the middle.

Cook your donut in the microwave fro 1-2 minutes checking after every 30 seconds, until the top is no longer wet.

You can now garnish with cinnamon sugar and a tablespoon of jam- or not.
