I think by now, we all know how much I love dumplings. I’ve been having serious cravings these past couple of weeks and I thought maybe writing about dumplings would somehow satisfy the craving? Well I was wrong, lol! I still need a dumpling fix!
I’m always on the look out for a new dumping spot. I came across Ugly Dumpling while walking to Temper (blog post coming soon hopefully!), and I knew I had to come back. I love their take on dumplings, they have very modern fillings like the cheeseburger dumpling, which is one of my faves.
The place is small and cute, not too many people (my kinda place), and the dumplings don’t take too long to come to the table.
Pictured above are the cheeseburger dumplings, they come with mini fries and what I think is hot sauce on top, it’s so good, I can even taste it right now- ughhhhh, so good.
Other favourites of mine are the chicken satay and mushroom and truffle. Ughhhhhh, Its times like this I wish I could teleport back to London just for lunch.
The chicken satay dumplings are so so good, filled with tender chicken and creamy peanut sauce- I’m making myself v v hungry right now. It’s good I have some chickpeas in the oven- oh, just incase you’ve missed it, I am OBSESSED with chickpea, I’ve had them every single day for the past 3 days I think, and I’m loving my new healthy protein packed snack!
My favourite way to have them is with a bit of oil, salt, paprika, cayenne pepper and roasted for abut 30 minutes. YUMMMM! I put them on everything I eat, salads, wraps, everything! Okay, back to the dumplings!
The first time I ordered the mushroom and truffle dumplings, I was just tryna be adventurous. I didn’t really think I would enjoy it- but I LOVED it. You can really taste the truffle, and the cheese on top just makes it even better.
Another dish I love is the tempura aubergine, I’m not a big veggie fan, but if you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen that I’ve partly joined #fitfamgang. During the week I meal prep, and try to include as many veggies as possible. I’m quite proud of myself tbh.
The tempura aubergine tastes heavenly.
HEAVEENNNNNNNN!
I also love the duck dumplings and prawn dumplings.
Oh, they also have sweet dumplings! From apple pie, to strawberries and cream. I would highly recommend trying Ugly Dumpling.
Sorry for the poorly lit pictures- dim lighting is all part of the charm of ugly dumpling!
Let me know if you try it and if you love it as much as I do!
